Giving effective modifications and performing effective adjustments are essential skills for any yoga teacher.
When
is touch appropriate and when is verbal instruction more effective?The
best adjustments assist the student in 'doing it themselves' rather
than having the teacher 'do it to them'. There
are always varying levels of experience in any class, and it's a
vitally important skill to be able to modify and adapt the poses so
that they work for everyone.
In
this workshop, you will learn new ways to modify poses and will receive
valuable practice in effectively and safety performing a wide variety
of adjustments.
The Art of Sequencing & Incorporating Themes Sun, July 6th, 10 am - 3:30 pm
In
this workshop, you will learn the theory behind sequencing for yoga,
and learn a variety of ways to combine poses into fun, creative, and
effective sequences so that every class you teach is unique and
different. Learn how to take a theme and weave it into the entire
class, giving your students not just a class, but an experience.
In both workshops, you will work with a variety of partners, receiving valuable practice and feedback.
5 renewal credits for each workshop.
